« back to classes page
ClassGraphic LGBTQ+ Discernment CourseThis course is for congregations desiring to walk through a process of discernment related to decisions concerning their inclusion practices specific to persons who self-identify as a part of the LGBTQ+ population. We will assess a congregations level of trust and readiness for difficult conversations, support congregations in discerning best practices, process elements and pastoral care efforts to utilize as they develop a ministry plan for difficult conversations regarding their inclusionary practices decisions. You are expected to check into the course regularly (a few times each week) to receive all updates and announcements. Successful students spend four to five-and-a-half hours each month on coursework and are engaged in meaningful discussions with their peers about course content and what they have learned over the course of each month.
