Welcome to the Faith & Sports Institute’s (FSI) Online Certificate Program. Housed at Baylor’s Truett Seminary, FSI’s certificate courses provide affordable, accessible, and flexible entry-points for developing as a leader and thinking more deeply about Christian engagement in sports.
Our courses are non-credit, and there are no academic prerequisites to enroll. They last eight weeks and are offered in summer, fall, winter, and spring sessions. Courses are delivered online through Canvas Catalog, with weekly activities and content to engage with. There are no required meeting times, so you are free to complete the activities in a time and manner that fits your busy schedule. You will also have opportunities to interact with your peers and to receive constructive and meaningful feedback from the instructor.
After successfully finishing a course, you will receive a certificate of completion from Baylor’s Continuing Education office. While you can take our classes as stand-alone offerings, you can also pursue a Certificate in Sports Culture and Leadership from the Faith & Sports Institute. To receive this, you must complete our two core courses—“Sports and Theology” and “Sports Leadership”—as well as two additional electives.
