John Burk serves as the Assistant Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Director of the Houston Extension of George W. Truett Theological Seminary. He has experience running a small organization for people suffering from memory loss, most commonly Alzheimer’s, and training congregation-based volunteers on how to provide free caregiving services. In this Continuing Education seminar, Dr. Burk will explore the depth of how theological reflection intersects with Christian ethics what it means to be an active participant in the Kingdom of God.
This will be a substantive and thorough seminar experience that will be challenging and enriching for all participants.
More than 10 hours of classroom instruction and dialogue will carry over into provided meals and conversations. This seminar is open to serious students and eager learners of all educational backgrounds. After registration, more information will follow along with preliminary questions for thought and preparation. Preparatory reading suggestions will also be included.
