Guardianship statutes are unique to each state in the United States but there are ideals and decision-making techniques that are used in all good guardianship.  This course provides a historical overview and the basic foundations of guardianship, the duties of Guardian of the Person and Guardian of the Estate, decision-making strategies to ensure the best quality of life for the person with a guardian, unique challenges for guardians in today’s world and a summary of best practices.  Since each state has unique statutes and rules regarding guardianship, you must always know your state’s unique regulations related to guardianship.  However, this course will provide you with basic knowledge and tools to improve the quality of guardianship services that you provide to your clients.  (7 courses are included)
