Dialectical Behavior Therapy: An Introduction

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment useful with sufferers of emotion dysregulation, suicidal thinking and self-harming behaviors. With Amanda Smith, mental health professionals can learn to adopt and practice a dialectical worldview in daily practice. You will have the opportunity to explore DBT suicide crisis protocols and strategies for implementing levels of validation in DBT. The textbooks (about $100 total) are not included in the course fee. Amanda Smith has been intensively trained in DBT through The Linehan Institute's Behavioral Tech. LPC and social work CEUs are available.
