| <p>Given the widely used lean six sigma tools in today’s business environment, this course is designed to provide an understanding of lean processes and the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) cycle of process improvement. Though examples used in the course will come mainly from healthcare, the concepts learned are applicable to any industry. Students will earn a black belt certificate of training for this course. They can earn a full black belt certification following successful completion of a project outside the course.</p>
