Motivational Interviewing (MI) Training for CSEY Responders
The Child Sex Trafficking Team at the Texas Governor’s Office and Baylor University Continuing Education are piloting customized Motivational Interviewing (MI) trainings for responders working with commercially sexually exploited youth (CSEY).
A significant challenge for CSEY responders is the ambivalence of victims/survivors about acting for their own wellness - staying in a safe location, making the most of treatment and restoration services or supporting investigative activities.
Important: you must attend a full two-day training AND participate in two follow up video calls with the instructor within six weeks in order to meet the requirements.
Please note: All interested attendees must be placed on the waiting list before the deadline date.
The Child Sex Trafficking Team, in the Texas Governor’s office, will review the waitlist and invite key stakeholders to attend the training. If selected, you will receive a confirmation email with location details
