Are you curious about the benefits of native Texas plants and the protection of native pollinators? Dr. Aime Sommerfeld-Lillard will discuss types of pollinators, how pollination can be encouraged in specific areas, and the role native plants play in habitats as well as insect life cycles. Together, you will consider suggested native plants for your home that encourage specific pollinators, and you will get to take home a native plant.   Tentative Course Outline:  A tentative course calendar is provided below. All outdoor activities are subject to weather and this class will be tailored to the group attending.    Topics  Notes  The role pollination plays in the ecosystem.  Types of pollination and ways to encourage it.    Suggested native plants to encourage specific pollinators.    Creating scenarios and practical applications.
